Danny Jenkins is the CEO and co-founder of ThreatLocker®, a leading cybersecurity company delivering a comprehensive Zero Trust Platform built to protect organizations from both known and unknown threats. Jenkins is a recognized leader and authority on cybersecurity whose experience includes two decades defending corporate networks, engaging in ethical hacking, and responding to active cyberattacks. He frequently speaks on topics such as ransomware, data breaches, critical infrastructure protection, and nation-state cyber warfare.
Jenkins began his career in IT before quickly moving into ethical hacking, testing cyber defenses by attempting to infiltrate client systems. He was so confident in his approach that he promised clients his services would be free if he failed to gain access. As ransomware began to emerge, organizations increasingly turned to him for help responding to attacks. While he continued defending systems, his role expanded to include incident response and guiding organizations through recovery.
After he was called to respond to a severe cyberattack that brought an owner to tears in the face of potentially losing their business, Jenkins was compelled to develop a proactive approach to cybersecurity. His core belief was that a straightforward Zero Trust framework could stop a large number of attacks from occurring in the first place. That's what led him to co-found ThreatLocker with Sami Jenkins and John Carolan.
The ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform delivers straightforward, comprehensive, and scalable controls that can be deployed across an entire environment through a unified dashboard. It includes solutions such as Allowlisting, Ringfencing™, Zero Trust Network Access, and Zero Trust Cloud Access, using an allow-by-exception approach to proactively block ransomware and prevent breaches, including zero-day attacks, while keeping business operations running uninterrupted.
Today, ThreatLocker protects over 70,000 organizations worldwide, supported by a team of over 600 Cyber Hero team members. In 2025, ThreatLocker was included in the top 8% of the Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
The rise of generative AI has made ThreatLocker Zero Trust more essential than ever. As AI-generated threats evolve faster than traditional defenses can learn to detect them, only a proactive, deny-by-default approach can stop new and unknown attacks before they strike.
Jenkins’ accomplishments include recognition among Cyber Magazine’s Top 10 Cybersecurity Leaders, CRN Magazine’s Top 100 Executives, and the International Cyber Threat Task Force’s 2002 Cybersecurity Entrepreneur of the Year. A member of the Forbes Technology Council, he is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences and a contributor to Harvard Business Review. Jenkins also hosts regular webinars and in-person CTRL+ALT+DELight events, helping business leaders stay ahead of emerging cyberthreats and strengthen their defenses.
