“One of our biggest challenges was visibility into what was being installed on our endpoints. Even though we had policies prohibiting unauthorized software, users would still install it. With ThreatLocker, we can now detect and block unauthorized applications, giving us the control we were missing.”

-Angel D'Silva, Chief Technology Officer, City of Danville

“ThreatLocker gave us the granular control we were looking for and provided real peace of mind. It helped our director and me sleep better at night because we knew there was another layer of protection helping watch over our environment and keep our best interests in mind.”

-Jason Parker, Cyber Manager, Bastrop Count

“Moving from a heuristics-based system to one where we can define exactly what can run, how it runs, and what it interacts with has been transformational.”

-Jonathan Lazarus, Security Team Lead, City of Hartford

“Even in a complex IT environment, ThreatLocker provides robust protection for every user and device, which is critical for our district. It solved a problem we had struggled with for over a decade and created a secure, flexible environment that supports the needs of our school district.”

-Charisse Snipes, Chief Innovation Officer, City of Hartford

With ThreatLocker
A staff member downloads a file from a phishing email. It executes immediately.
The same file is downloaded, but it never executes.
Your security tools trigger alerts, but only after activity has already started.
ThreatLocker prevents the attack automatically.
Your team is investigating, isolating devices, and trying to determine how far the threat has spread.
The file never runs, so there’s nothing to respond to. Instead, your team can see where the download originated, that it was blocked before execution, and which policy prevented it.
You're reacting in real time to something already inside your environment with the potential to compromise patient data.
Your team doesn’t have to worry because they’re in full control of their environment.

Cybersecurity insurance companies are looking for proactive endpoint control and Allowlisting and by leveraging ThreatLocker we're able to show that we're doing all of these steps and we have all those controls in place which really goes a long way when you're applying for cybersecurity insurance.

- Colin Smith, Director of Information Technology, Advanced Medical Transport

In healthcare, we’re constantly dealing with phishing attempts and ransomware threats. Because ThreatLocker proactively prevents unauthorized activity and significantly reduces alerts, our team can spend less time investigating false alarms and more time focusing on other critical security priorities.

- Cesar Lopez, Cybersecurity Administrator, Door County Medical Center

Ringfencing has worked extremely well for us. It prevents unauthorized users from introducing malicious scripts into the environment, while giving us visibility into everything that’s being executed. Unless a script is signed and approved by someone on our team, it won’t run automatically. That level of control has been tremendously valuable for our operations.

- Patrick Davis, Security Analyst, Hattiesburg Clinic

The granular security ThreatLocker provides with USB Control is beyond other applications. As a HIPAA-regulated organization, that helps our security tenfold.

- Josh Clabo, System Administrator & IT Security Lead, Aurora Mental Health and Recovery

Once they were in the environment, we can see from ThreatLocker Storage Control and Allowlisting that they tried to run AnyDesk and that got denied.

- Hunter Clark, Cybersecurity Engineer, Ark Technology Consultants

How one ransomware attack can result in two very different outcomes

Two hospitals faced the same ransomware attack. At one hospital, attackers successfully encrypted critical systems, forcing staff to work through outages and disrupting patient care.

At the other, ThreatLocker blocked the unauthorized encryption attempt before it could execute. Unable to encrypt systems or shut down operations, the attackers lost their leverage and moved on, while clinicians continued caring for patients.

“We're no longer chasing alerts after they happen. ThreatLocker has been very proactive in stopping scripts, applications, and tools that shouldn't be running.”
