The latest National Crime Agency report warns of rising ransomware attacks
Ransomware is not slowing down. Demands are increasing to millions of dollars, as we witnessed in the recent Colonial Pipeline attack. According to theNCA report, 50% of cyber-attacks over the last year involved double extortion, the threat to publish or even auction the stolen data if payment is not received.
FBI warning: Conti ransomware is targeting U.S. healthcare networks
This past week, the FBI released abulletinthat warned of Conti ransomware attacks targeting U.S. healthcare and first-responder networks. Recent victims of Conti include law enforcement agencies, emergency medical services, 911 dispatch centers, and municipalities. Recent ransom demands have been as high as $25 million.
